The more familiar the kids are with my books before the visit, the more fun it will be for them.
DRAWING DEMO
The kids tell me what to draw (like I’m their trained art-monkey). They give me:
a character
a problem the character is having.
an emotion the character feels.
The drawings stay with the school to help the kids remember the fun we had.
I always get a little help coloring the drawings.
